Dan’s relationship with cycling started at a young age with the freedom provided by an orange Schwinn Stingray with ape hanger handle bars and a sweet banana seat. Since cycling opportunities were not part of the curriculum at his elementary and high schools, Dan moved into more traditional scholastic sports for a time, but retained an interest in mountain biking and whitewater kayaking as a way to see more of the great outdoors. After high school, Dan increased his hours on the bike, both mountain and road, throughout college and law school. Although never a competitive racer, Dan has been drawn to many different styles of riding and just finished a cross-country road ride covering about 3,500 miles in 31 days this past May.
Dan holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and practiced as an attorney with King & Spalding and for American Tower Corporation (NYSE – AMT). He now lives in Atlanta with his wife and three young boys and is excited to bring his passion for all things bicycle to the Georgia league.
