In 2009, Griffin sought to create a race series exclusively for mountain bikers, and he founded Chain Buster Racing with his wife, Nicole. His goal was to build the best off-road race production company in the Southeast. Chain Buster is now an industry leader in endurance mountain bike races that appeal to a wide range of racer, from elite athletes to weekend warriors out to have a good time.
Griffin has been instrumental in the Georgia Interscholastic Cycling League, the 11th state to make mountain biking a high school sport. When he’s not running a race or riding a bike, he can be found wakeboarding or lounging around a lake with his family. He lives in Dacula, Georgia, with his wife and young son, Lanier.
